Queen Elizabeth 'thrilled' about William and Kate's son,
who is 3rd in line to throne..
Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, have named their new son George Alexander Louis, a day after the infant prince had his debut to the world when his mother emerged with him in her arms from St. Mary's Hospital in London.
Kensington Palace made the announcement Wednesday evening.
The world’s most famous infant finally has a name: the little prince will be called George Alexander Louis, His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, Clarence House revealed on Wednesday.
There have been six kings with the name of George, but none named Alexander or Louis.
The announcement raises speculation that if he were to become king the new prince would choose the name George VII, but there is no guarantee that as monarch he would use his first name. His great-great-grandfather, George VI, was christened Albert Frederick Arthur George and used his fourth name when he came to the throne.
The Telegraph reported that broadcasters at Kensington Palace were asking “is it ‘Lou-ey’ or ‘Lou-iss?’”
The announcement comes as palace officials say Prince William and his wife Kate are spending “private and quiet time for them to get to know their son” — and, perhaps, to figure out ways to shield him from intense public and media interest.
At least the relationship got off to a good start. The baby slept through his first photo op outside London’s St. Mary’s Hospital, while his parents beamed as they chatted easily with reporters. For a Royal Family that has had a fraught relationship with the media, it was a positive sign.
The royal baby is by far the most highly celebrated tot of the decade,
which means he was also the most highly anticipated baby
before Kate gave birth on July 22.
So highly anticipated, in fact, that dedicated fans and press
were camped outside of the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital
for nearly three weeks just to catch a glimpse of the new family
and witness the excitement once Kate actually went into labor.
most of the fans and press are still likely lined up because they want
to get The first glimpse of baby Cambridge.

Kate Middleton & Prince William Reveal Royal Baby On Hospital Steps.
A beaming Prince William and his wife, Kate, emerged from a London hospital on Tuesday with their newborn baby boy, presenting the world with a first glimpse of the prince who is third in line to the British throne.
The royal couple appeared happy and relaxed as they waved at the crowds of journalists and onlookers gathered outside London’s St. Mary’s Hospital, posing for photographs and joking with reporters.
Princess Kate, wearing a baby blue polka dot Jenny Packham dress, smiled and waved as she stepped out from the hospital doors with the future monarch in her arms.
“It’s very emotional. It’s such a special time. I think any parent will know what this feeling feels like,” she told journalists.
She then gave the baby to her husband, who, cradling their child, said: “He’s got her looks, thankfully. He’s got a good pair of lungs on him, that’s for sure.”
Prince William added: “He’s a big boy. He’s quite heavy,” and laughed when a reporter asked him about the baby’s hair.
“He’s got way more than me, thank God,” he said.
The prince said they are still determining what to name the baby.
The couple re-entered the hospital to place the child in a car seat before re-emerging to get into an SUV. Prince William drove the couple away. Palace officials said they will head to an apartment in Kensington Palace.
The young family’s first public appearance together has been the moment that the world’s media and crowds of onlookers camped outside the hospital had long been waiting for, and the photographs snapped on Tuesday are likely to be reprinted for decades as the baby grows into adulthood and his role as a future king.
The appearance recalls a similar appearance three decades ago, when Princess Diana and Prince Charles carried the newborn Prince William out to pose for photographs on the same steps in 1982.
Earlier, grandparents Prince Charles, his wife, Camilla, and Michael and Carole Middleton, Princess Kate’s parents were the first relatives to visit the young family at the hospital.
Prince Charles called the baby “marvellous,” while a beaming Ms. Carole Middleton described the infant as “absolutely beautiful.”
The couple’s Kensington Palace office said Princess Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to the 8 pound, 6 ounce (3.8 kg) baby boy at 4.24 p.m. on Monday.
The news was greeted with shrieks of joy and excited applause by hundreds of Britons and tourists gathered outside the hospital and Buckingham Palace.
Revellers staged impromptu parties at both locations, and large crowds crushed against the palace gates to try to catch a glimpse and a photograph of the golden easel placed there to formally announce the birth.

The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St Mary's Hospital in the early hours of the morning in the UK, or around 3pm (AEST).
"The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labour,” a royal spokesman said.
She was rushed to the west London hospital by car around 6am local time and was accompanied by her husband Prince William.
The Duchess was admitted to a private wing of the hospital as the media pack that has been hovering around the royal couple for weeks entered a frenzy.
Middleton was due to give birth in mid-July so the baby appear to have come around a week early.
The couple have said they are unaware of the gender of their baby, who will become third in-line to inherit the throne currently occupied by the child's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
After a recent change in the law, the baby will also be made an HRH (His or Her Royal Highness) and given the title Prince or Princess of Cambridge.
The baby does not necessarily need to have a surname — but if William and Kate want it to have one, they can choose between Mountbatten-Windsor, Wales and Cambridge.
The last time a serving monarch had the chance to meet a great grandchild born in direct succession to the crown was almost 120 years ago.
