Brighton Beach Bath Houses

Brighton’s famous beach bathing boxes in Melbourne

Beautiful to look at precious to hold
BUT pricey mystery to many for essentially a shed, with no running water or electricity.

For more than 100 years these colourful bathing boxes have provided a beautiful backdrop to Melbourne’s mighty Port Phillip Bay.

Originally used as ladies’ changing sheds in the 1800s, the council took over management from the Crown in 1877.
The boxes have since survived the elements and a cyclone
— although a few have reportedly washed away.
Nowadays the boxes have provided a
picturesque backdrop for shots streamed across the world.
Brighton Beach is home to the famous beach huts.
The beach isn't too far from Melbourne city, and is a great place to relax
Maryam enjoying her ice cream with Dad
Its quite an exclusive place

a few poses from my daughter - Sofia

Beach Huts line the beach, each with their own unique painting on them.

 the sweep of colourful huts.

A day at Brighton Beach is always a lot of fun.
The sand and water are clean, and its a very laid back atmosphere

on a sunny day,
the colours stand out against blue skies, blue sea and the yellow sands

We enjoyed walking the beach
and viewing these colorful bathing boxes.
Each one had its own distinction.
It was interesting to know that they are still being used.
The whole area is lovely.
Worth coming here to visit & will surely be back again.

SPM results 2014: Overall performance takes a dip

PUTRAJAYA: Overall performance in last year's Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) took a dip compared with previous years.
Of 429,003 students who sat for the examination, 11,289 (2.63%) scored straight As compared with 13,970 (3.16%) out of 442,558 students in 2013.
Education director-general Datuk Seri Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof said overall SPM achievement in 2014 declined compared to the year before, with the National Average Grade (GPN) at 5.08 compared with 4.93 in 2013 (lower GPN indicates better performance).
Dr Khair said
the decline in overall performance could be due to the change in the way examination questions are posed.

"The (content of) the questions are the same as before, but students now need to think more when they answer and perhaps some need a bit more time adjusting to this.
"But the decline is still within the acceptable range, as the overall performance of students will rise and dip slightly over the years.

you have to be able to put up with the pain.

Desire is key to motivation.

But it is determination and commitment which enables you to reach your goal with excellence.

While most are dreaming of success,

winners wake-up and work hard to achieve it.

Take Care.

Dare to Dream - Mt Rigi Switzerland

Little is left to talk about the scenic beauty of the Alps.
The magnificent height and the white unruffled panorama create a vast calmness in our body.

Switzerland being such a compact country makes visiting all areas easily accessible. No matter where you go however, you are always surrounded by the Alps in all their magnificence.

The Swiss Alps hide behind a curtain of morning haze

One of the most beautiful sights of my life.

So much to see and so little time
is how I would describe Switzerland
